What sounds like the beginning of a joke, is actually the story of how Bali’s leading padel club came about.
When you think of Bali your mind probably goes to crystal oceans, incredible Hindu culture, perfect waves and relaxed beach clubs. Whilst the Indonesian tourism hotspot still encompasses all of these elements, there is also a new kid on the block – padel. The surge in popularity of the sport from the expat and tourist community of the island has led to over 20 clubs opening in recent years. With the cocktail of skills possessed by the creators of Bali Padel Academy they have blended a refreshing, modern environment that quenches one’s thirst for the sport. From recovery areas including infinity pools and saunas, to restaurants overlooking the lush beauty of local rice paddies, the club has an array of facilities that complement the padel ethos of cultivation and engagement.
The recovery area includes four main facilities: an ice bath, a whirlpool bath, a sauna and an infinity pool. Whether you need to wind down after a match or simply relax, the recovery area is a luxury that all can enjoy.
Families are welcomed, and even encouraged, at Bali Padel Academy. A playground designed for young children, babysitters on standby, and several coached junior padel groups allow adults to enjoy and immerse themselves in the club without the underlying pressure of occupying a child’s attention.

With a focus on well-being and healthy living, the refreshments and food offer a variety of delicious meals. From breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests will be provided with local and western dishes to nurture their body and replenish energy. As day turns to night, smoothies and juices are traded for Bintang’s and Bacardi. The club is open until 11pm and host regular evening events to keep the social aspect of the community alive.

There are a total of seven covered panoramic courts, with the centre court providing an astounding 200 seats for spectators. With texturised turf certified by the Spanish padel federation, 14-metre high ceilings, and the use of the Playtomic international rating system, the courts are fully equipped with modern, innovative designs.
The Playtomic rating system is considerable in making accessibility prevalent: where matches can be booked to play against people with a similar skill set and familiarity with the game.

As the headquarters for the padel brand NOX, there is, unquestionably, a certain calibre of equipment, court and coaching methods. As the international headquarters for the NFA - NOX Future Academy - the club has an array of activities to develop the social side of padel: group courses, tournaments, and social leagues are all available for any age or skill set.
